Indian River Trout and Redfish Fishing 2/6/11

It was a cold and rainy day today out on the Indian River.  Brad and Eli from Colorado booked me for a half day charter in search of Redfish and Seatrout. They had never fished saltwater before so this trip was a whole new experience to them.  The weather wasn't cooperating this morning but I knew where we could go power pole and catch some nice trout.  The lure's of choice today were the Mirrodine made by MirrOlure and the Berkley Gulp 5inch new penny jerk shad.  Eli's first cast he hooks up on a nice keeper Trout, then his father Brad hooks up.  Both were competing against each other to see who could catch the most fish before heading home.  All said and done Brad ended up winning the little fish off, with a dozen keeper Trout and two juvenile Redfish.  Eli was having a slow day.  The fish just weren't cooperating with him.  He was able to land six Trout and towards the end of there trip they were able to see dolphins feeding on the flats.  If you are interested in a charter you can find on my website the dates I am available or you can email me at finandflycharters@gmail.com.                www.finandflycharters.com  or call (321) 652-5903
