Indian River Trout and Redfish 1/4-5/2011
Went and fish the Indian river yesterday with Steve and saw tons of redfish schooled up. They were a little spooky bu we were able to get a couple to eat. Along with the redfish, we caught 40 trout within a half hour most on spinning tackle ans some on fly. The next day I told a good friend of mine, Rick Piper about all the trout and redfish we caught the day before and that we should go try it again. We set out and I told Rick that i wanted to see how many trout we could catch. We caught 61 trout in 70 minutes with one of the trout coming in at 26inches 6lbs 1oz what a day this was. Here is a couple of photos from both days of fishing, I hope you enjoy them. If you want to come and catch these fish I am available and you can email me at finandflycharters@gmail.com or call (321) 652-5903.

Redfish in the Banana River 12/29/10
Had a charter on the calm waters of Cocoa Beach today with Rich Morel and his son Henry. Rich is a native from Cocoa Beach who has also been on a episode of Addictive Fishing. We headed out ramp road at about 11:30am in search of schooling Redfish layed up on the warm shallow grass flats. We were fishing with some new rods from TFO with Shimano Stradic reels and 10lb test Power Pro. The lure of choice was the Berkley Gulp 4inch new penny shrimp with a Owner 5/0 hook. Once we got to the area where I had been seeing fish we spotted a school of 50-100 fish and was able to get this double hook up with Henry, who is only 9 years old catching his biggest Redfish at 33inches. It was a fun day for both Rich and Henry as for me too. If your interest in catching some of these Redfish I am available and you can reach me at finandflycharters@gmail.com
