These last two weeks of fishing have been unreal, it seems that everything is biting. The cobia run is starting to slow down now off Port Canaveral but the kingfish bite has been on fire! For you kingfish fans the time is now! The kingfish for the past two weeks have been in the 25-40pound range which are alot of fun to catch and watch as they sky rocket on the live bait. There still some nice trippletail being caught offshore, trippletail are a fun fish to catch both on fly and spinning tackle. Now for the inshore side the redfish and trout bite has been exceptionally well. The redfish have been ranging from 25-40inches along with the trout ranging 16-25inches with a few here and there pushing over that 25inch mark. Artificial lures and live bait have been the ticket for them. I like to thank everyone that fished with me and I hope to fish with you again soon! Here is a short video of the kingfish we caught on one of my trips along with photo's of my clients that fished with me. Enjoy! Orlando, Titusville, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral Fishing Report 3/9/12
The redfish bite inshore is still on fire!!! Multiple redfish around 40 inches along with mid to upper slot fish. The trout bite has been also exceptionally well with multiple fish over 20 inches. Along the beaches of Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach are the cobia, one of my favorite fish to eat and sight fish. The cobia have been ranging from 20-76 pounds which is a good amount of meat off of one fish. Within the next couple weeks we should start seeing pogies show up which are my favorite bait to use. When the pogies show up the snook bite is on!!! So that's something to look forward to. Here are some photo's of some of my client's from the past week along with another video....Enjoy!
